My name is Lisette. I started Mother's Earth because I saw how our planet is deteriorating.
Every day I saw images of pollution, animal cruelty, poverty and neglect.
This gave me such a powerless feeling
Do you recognise that, too? That prevailing feeling of "Surely I can and should be able to make a positive and changing contribution to this?"
However, when I became aware that I, as well as you (or we), can indeed make a difference by changing our behaviour, this feeling of powerlessness changed.

Help cats in need
🌏 The Kerbert Cat Shelter in Ijmuiden has been there from the start. Stray and rescued cats are cared for in this shelter. They also collect found rabbits and remote rabbits. The welcome here from Marleen, Kirsten and Amanda, among others, is always heart-warming. We are currently completely covering their laundry costs with our donation. This way they keep money that they desperately need for the animals, vet and other costs.
🌏 Help the Stray Cat Foundation: Els and Annemieke started this shelter (neuter and sterilization) for stray cats in Uithoorn, NL with a passion and the cats are spoiled with love! Its heartwarming to see how hard volunteers work here to give the anxious cats confidence again. We expect to have their laundry costs fully covered within a few months. This way they can spend more money on cat care.
🌏 Our newest charity for cats is Hello Katty in Kinrooij Belgium. This is a shelter for kittens and cats. And how happy and enthusiastic owner Mirjam is about our donations. We recently started and expect to soon fully cover Hello Katty's laundry costs!
Help dogs in need
🌏 The Kennemerland Animal House. This is an animal shelter that cares for stray animals that have been given up. They have super passionate employees and volunteers. Every month I visit this shelter with 20 donation envelopes and we help them pay for the washing costs and.... they pollute much less!
Help people in need
🌏 Womens Teatment center in the field of relationship abuse and violence
🌏 They provide safe shelter for threatened and traumatized (young) people. After they were very enthusiastic after running a pilot with the laundry sheets, we also included them in our donation program.
Help exotic zoos
🌏 Stichting AAP in Almere takes in exotic and wild animals that are kept as pets, illegally traded, or used in circuses and other forms of entertainment. This causes an unimaginable amount of animal suffering. Every month, it is a joy to make them happy with 20 donation envelopes. Under the watchful eye of the monkeys!
